In 1991 President and CEO Rick Welsh founded Ameri Seiki understanding the need for a combination of quality, reliability and price in the machine tool market. Rick started as a machinist himself and utilized his knowledge of machining technologies and customer relations to build an outstanding line of CNC machining centers and turning lathes. Rick focused on making his CNC machines casting much stronger and heavier than the competition adding sturdiness and rigidity allowing greater power in the motors and drives. He also designed the machines to have double-nut ball screws with two sets of thrust bearings for added accuracy and repeatability. In 2015 the company moved its headquarters to Houston, Texas placing itself in a centralized location allowing better proximity and faster service to serve all of Amera-Seiki’s customers. Now, for nearly 30 plus years, Amera-Seiki has supplied quality, precision CNC Machine Tools to customers across North America. As of today Amera-Seiki has sold over three thousand CNC machine tools worldwide.
