About Niigata Machine Tools

Established in Niigata City, Japan Niigata Machine Techno had been manufacturing CNC Machinery and plastic injection machines since 1895. They are one of the oldest machine tool builders still around today. As their success continued to grow they needed to expand and in April 1980 opened their first offices in the United States. Niigata Machine Techno has always been innovative, producing some of the newest technologies in the horizontal machine tool industry. As an early developer in FMS technology in 1976 they developed an unmanned machine operating on its own. In 1988 they introduced to the world the very first milling machine with a 100,000 rpm spindle called the model UHS10. In 1996 Niigata first introduced twin facing head horizontal machining centers. Niigata is a world leader when it comes to producing CNC horizontal machining centers featuring high torque, high speed milling and heavy duty boxways. Another specialty they developed is a ICC (Intelligent Cell Controller) system controlled and operated with FMS & robot systems. Along with manufacturing CNC machinery Niigata had another division researching and developing plastic injection machines. Today this company has a large footprint around the world having established markets in Japan, China, Thailand, United States, Taiwan, Malaysia, India and all across Europe.
