SMEC Company or also known as Samsung Machine Tools Equipment Company is one of the largest CNC machinery builders in the world. They are headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. Back in 1988 the company started as Samsung Heavy Industries only later after partnerships with OKK, Mori Seiki and Toshiba that in 1999 changed the name to SMEC.
