Founded in 1923 Schneeberger has been a Swiss, family-run business devoted to the production and regrinding of cutting tools. Successful throughout the world with tool manufacturers in the automotive, aerospace, textile, watch making and medical technology industrias. Their first development of a universal tool grinder came in 1924 developing the R1 model. In 1985 they adapted to the new computer control technology by producing their first CNC profile grinder. Today Schneeberger uses state of art mechanical engineering technology and can support a multitude of applications with their own software Quinto using the Schneeberger CNC, plus the flexible 5-axis kinematic machine concept. They have developed machines with innovative concepts, unparalleled in this specific tooling market segment of tool and cutter sharpening and production. The machines are designed for maximum flexibility with the highest level of precision and accuracy. The configuration on Schneeberger tool and cutter grinders can be customized according to your needed requirements with ball screws or linear motors on all axes, wheel changers and loading systems. Standard end mills, sinus cutters, radius, ball nose, roughing, profile, band saw cutters, staggered end mills, T-slot end mills, prism cutters can all be manufactured on Schneeberger tool grinding machines.
